I love 1 Corinthians 13, The Love Chapter. When I read it in the voice version it melted my heart! So beautiful. So simply put. It makes my heart yearn for the love of God!
“Love is essential for the body to be unified and for members to work together. Members of the body that are very different, with little in common, are able to appreciate and even enjoy others because of the love that comes when a life is submitted to God.
Love is patient.
Love is kind.
Love is not envious.
It does not boast, brag or strut about.
There is no arrogance in it.
It’s never rude, crude or indecent—it’s not self-absorbed.
Love is not easily upset.
Love does not tally wrongs or celebrate injustice.
Truth is love’s delight!
Love puts up with anything and everything that comes along.
It trusts, hopes and endures no matter what.
Love will never become obsolete.
Faith, Hope and Love remain.
The greatest of these is Love.”
Father God, I pray Your Love pours out on us today. I pray each and every member of Your body submits to You today. I pray we submit our lives to You. I pray we learn to love each other with Your divine Love. Teach us to love with Your heart. Make us more like You. Do a work in us. Do heart surgery—bypasses if necessary! From our heart to Yours. I love You, Lord Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Thank you for Your Love, Your Mercy, Your Grace.
