No Doubt

On the fence. Half a mind. Hem and haw. Jury is still out. Left hanging in the air. In a quandary. Shilly-shally. Toing and froing. In two minds. Up in the air.  All these are idioms for doubt and delay.  Uncertainty. It is suspended animation. The opposite of moving mountains! You can’t move anything very far without a clear decision to move it at all.

Since everything starts with the condition of the heart, let’s start this journey into the “no doubt” zone with thanksgiving.  If like Joshua, we start to give an accounting of everything that God has done, it is like turning an engine over to start.  It begins to stir faith up inside of us.

Then, if we search our heart and listen to God, he will navigate us. He will point us in the right direction.

Once we have directions, we can test them.  We can double-check with God.  Then take a step.  If we are certain what God wants and quick to take that step in faith, He breathes on it.  We will know in our spirit that it is Him. He will bring forth fruit from a single act of faith.  Things will shift.  The worrisome things go away.  We have to choose His way. Not our own. Not based on the familiar. Not based on reason. Not based on what we see.

Father God, give me the faith to move mountains and the boldness, courage and wisdom to step into it. I pray I hear Your voice clearly. Let me be speedy to be obedient.

James 1:6, Joshua 23, 2 Corinthians 4:18
