Let The Light Shine

Creation.  Who knew that when God said, “Let there be light” that He was foreshadowing the sacrifice of His Son? Talk about an excellent novelist! He began the story with the end in mind.  Here in 2 Corinthians, we can see that the “light” was Jesus all along!  It is Jesus that is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father unless it is through Him. It is the answer to the question in the garden that cast darkness on us all. It is not through our own understanding. The light comes from a full surrender of our lives to Christ. Nothing broken. Nothing missing.  We have been recreated in Christ!

Father, thank you for the bright light that You have given us in Jesus! Thank you for every promise and every blessing.  Thank you for the greatest story ever told and the role that You have for each of us to play!

  1. Wow, yes! Thank you for laying out this amazing connection. I had just been thinking about the light and darkness in Isaiah and this really adds even more depth to that. I love the connections between old and New Testament, all the mystery and majesty.
