1 Corinthians always stirs something big deep inside of me. It underscores for me how we need God and each other. It had such an impact on me that I asked God to give me a picture of what it looks like when the body of Christ is operating together, in unity, in His love.
So here is the picture:
There is a place where we will all come and there will be many believers working, operating in one accord, one song. It’s beautiful and powerful. It’s like a song. Or an ocean wave. It will rise and fall like a beautiful melody. It will ebb and flow like tides of the ocean. All the notes become one. The drops become one body of water. It’s how God made us all. There is such power and beauty awaiting the body of Christ should we come together, when we come together. God’s heart will be so full on that day! We will all be as one. The bride and bridegroom will be one again. The only thing that separates us is the separation between the members of the body. Oh how God yearns for us to be as one! He yearns for His bride.
Father, thank you for Your love and grace and mercy. I pray for the day that we will all be as one. I pray that You will put a thirst in all our hearts to operate as one in unison with our eyes on You!
