Setting Limits

“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24 NIV

God is faithful to do as He has promised.  We have to trust Him. In trusting Him, we have to let go of behavior that doesn’t support that belief.  Enabling others by stepping into their space when we don’t belong there is an example.

Setting boundaries makes it easier for ourselves and others to experience the love and limits they need. It means:

  • Setting boundaries around emotion
  • Setting a limit on enabling others
  • Saying no to the desire to protect

It means rather than engaging directly in situations, we lift them up in prayer and trust God.  Trust that He knows all things, sees all things and conducts a divine order in all things….and doesn’t need our help.  He just needs our heart.  It means we wait and listen for His direction and go about our Father’s business as Jesus did.

Thank you Father for Your divine order and divine will in all things.
