The Potter

the potter

“But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.” Jeremiah 18:4 NIV

This scripture is full of hope! If we only listen to God and be sensitive to how He wants to shape us, His heart gives us opportunities to become something new.  A new me. A new neighborhood. A new city. A new state. A new nation. A new world.  We can all be made new if we turn our hearts toward God.

Our God is a God of second chances.  It is His heart to see us turn ours to Him.  He is constantly watching for us to return home to Him.  He longs for each and every one of us to find our way back to the potter’s hands.

Father, I pray that we are pliable so that you can reshape us.  I pray that we do not become stiff and brittle in our hearts.

Jeremiah 18:1-10, Romans 12:1, 2 Timothy 1:7
